Today I visited Finnstown House and I can confirm that the medieval core remains intact within Finnstown House. The house has been built around the original tower house.
I accessed it today and you can see from the photos the incredibly thick medieval masonry (repointed in modern times) . At the moment it is not open to the public as it’s a storage room, but lovely to know that a bit of Old Lucan is safe.
