“Lost, between Lucan and Cellbridge, a small Silver Watch, with Gold Hands, made by John Dalrymple, Dublin, No. 85. Whoever has found it and brings it to the Printer hereof shall have two Guineas Reward, and no Questions asked. It is requested if offered for Sale is may be stopped”.
Saunders’s News-Letter 31 March 1781
“Found at Lucan Gate, on Saturday the 24th inst. A cocked Tail dark bay Gelding, about fourteen Hands high, with a black Mane and Tail. Whoever can prove his Property, may have him on paying for his Keeping and the Expence of this Advertisement, by applying to James Ready, Innkeeper, at Lucan. March 31, 1781”.
Saunders’s News-Letter 02 July 1782
“A DIAMOND Ring, found between Lucan and Leixlip ; the Person who lost it, proving the Property, may have it on Application to Charles Croker, Esq. Mary-street, paying the Expence of advertising, and a Gratuity to the poor Man who found it. June 25, 1782.
To be inserted three Times”.
Saunders’s News-Letter 24 December 1785
“FOUND, IN LUCAN,
On Wednesday the 14th instant, a small bright bay poney, with a short Tail Whoever proves their Property may have him, by applying to Richard Byrne at the Conolly’s Arms, Lucan, first paying his Expences.
December 17, 1785”.

“FOUND,
By a little Girl, near Lucan.
A Brilliant Diamond Broach, with initial letters. Whoever can prove property may have it, on giving a gratuity to the poor girl and the expence of advertising –
Apply to Mr. Smullen, Postmaster, at Lucan”.

Five Shillings Reward ; Lost, at Lucan, 28th May, black and tan Terrier Dog ; front legs bandy ; answers to name of Pippen. Apply at 20 Upper Bridge-street”.
